 Introduction

Bhutan is one of the most beautiful and cleanest countries in the world. Bhutan is also known for its rich culture and tradition all around the world. However many people around the world have not tasted the food that is being cooked and served here. If people ever taste the delicious food in Bhutan it will take you all to the next level. Amongst many cooking styles in the world, Bhutanese cuisine is one which you all should not miss while traveling within Bhutan.

1.     Ema Datshi

 Ema Datshi is one of the most popular and top dishes that is being cooked around      Bhutan. It is made out of adding lots of chilies with a good amount of local cheese mixed with amul cheese. If you want to know about extra ingredients that are being added in ema datshi, these are: Onion, Garlic, tomato, salt and refined oil.


2.     Shakam Datshi

 Shakam is directly translated from Bhutanese language as dry beef and ‘Datshi’ means cheese in dzongkha. It is also one of the most popular dishes that is being consumed by Bhutanese.  It is easy to cook and gives a better taste of meat mixed with chili and cheese. While preparing the Shakam datshi first of all, we need to dry meat in hot sunny weather to make it dry and hard. You know what, after drying the meat it gives a much better taste than that of wet one. While cooking Shakam Datshi we need dry beef, chili, garlic, ginger, salt, onion, oil and cheese .


3.    Phaksha Paa

Phaksha means pork. In Bhutan many people enjoy Phaksha Paa in a local festival that is known as ‘losar’. It is simple and easy to cook as it does not require many ingredients. If u got a radish and dry red Bhutanese chili with pork then it will end up giving a delicious taste to your taste bud.

    


4.     Shamu Datshi 

Shamu datshi is none other than mushroom cooked with cheese. It is also similar to ema datshi. If you know how to cook ema datshi then it will be easier for you to cook shamu datshi. In Bhutan while having meals most of them.



5.   Jaju

If you want to be healthy and strong then this is the right one that you must take. It is Bhutanese milk and vegetable soup. We add milk and butter in the soup to give a better taste. In this Bhutanese soup commonly we use turnip leafs but we can also use other soft leafs. 



Conclusion

Bhutan is a country that has a green nature which provides enough medicine for good health. Not only medicine but it also provides many green natural foods that can be consumed. Food that we consume differs from district to district within Bhutan as different people from different districts cook with their own style. However as in general we conclude that the above dishes that I have mentioned are being cooked and consumed in the same way by all the people within Bhutan.
